Woodlands National Bank in Minneapolis Robbed

On December 23, 2011, at approximately 2:50 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Woodlands National Bank which is located at 1113 East Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The robber, who was described as possibly a Native American or Hispanic male, entered the bank, dropping a backpack as he entered. After he was inside of the bank, he drew a black, semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and approached the teller counter. The robber demanded and received cash from the victim teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank on foot.

The robber was described as a Native American or Hispanic male, who stood approximately 5’5” in height and had a stocky build. He wore a large, black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over a red stocking cap, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. He appeared to be in his early 40s.
