Seeking Information on Credit Union Robbery in Northfield, Minnesota

On April 14, 2011, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the U.S. Federal Credit Union branch located at 2010 Jefferson Road in Northfield, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone masked man. The robber came into the bank lobby and displayed a small black handgun. He approached the lone teller on duty and told her to give him all of her 100s and 50s. The teller complied with the demand and provided the robber with money from her teller draw. The robber then made another verbal demand to the teller for more money. The teller complied and provided the robber an additional amount of money. The robber then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen by a witness outside the bank walking across the street and through an apartment complex parking lot. Two other bank employees were in the bank during the robbery. No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber is described as a white male, about 25 years old. He is described as about 5’10” tall and weighing about 190-210 pounds. He wore a black hooded jacket, a dark mask that covered his face from below his nose, blue jeans, dark gloves, and black and white sneakers. He may be the same individual responsible for the robbery of the Sterling Bank branch in Savage, Minnesota on April 11, 2011.
