Porcupine Man Sentenced for Abusive Sexual Contact

RAPID CITY, SD—United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Porcupine man charged with abusive sexual contact was sentenced on April 1, 2011, by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken. Curtis Lee New Holy, age 18, was sentenced to 36 months of imprisonment, 15 years of supervised release, and a $100 victim assessment.

New Holy was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 20, 2010. In February 2010, he engaged in sexual contact with another person who did not give consent. He pled guilty to the charge on January 10, 2011.

This case was investigated by the FBI, BIA, and OST-DPS. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carolyn G. Olson prosecuted the case.

New Holy was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
