Nebraska Man Guilty of Abusive Sexual Contact

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Cody Jay Grass, age 26, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, appeared before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken on June 21, 2010, and pled guilty to a charge of abusive sexual contact. The maximum penalty upon conviction is three years’ imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine. Between June 1, 2008, and August 31, 2008, near Manderson, Grass made sexual contact with an underage girl. The investigation was conducted by the FBI. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carolyn G. Olson. A presentence investigation was ordered and a sentencing date was set for September 9, 2010. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending sentencing.
