Seeking Information on Bank Robbery in Apple Valley
FBI Minneapolis January 06, 2010 |
On Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank located at 15574 Pilot Knob Road, Apple Valley, Minnesota, was robbed by a lone individual. The robber entered the bank and briefly sat down at an online banking terminal. He then got up, jumped on top of the teller counter, displayed a semi-automatic handgun, and ordered the tellers to keep their heads down and hands up. He pointed the weapon at the three duty tellers and ordered them to place cash into a black backpack. After the tellers turned over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber jumped down and fled the bank, entered a vehicle in the bank parking lot—possibly a white Pontiac Grand Am—and sped away in an unknown direction.
The robber is described as a white male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’8” to 5’ 10”tall, 180 to 200 pounds, with an athletic build. He was wearing a black ski mask, black gloves, black coat over a black shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers. He carried a black backpack.
Ralph S. Boelter, Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200, the Apple Valley Police Department, or Crime Stoppers. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
