FBI Seeking Public’s Assistance to Capture Credit Union Crooks

The FBI Milwaukee Division is seeking the public’s help in identifying serial robbery suspects responsible for the robberies of seven credit unions and one bank in Southeastern Wisconsin in just over a month.

The following robberies have occurred at several local financial institutions:

  • October 18, 2012, Educators Credit Union, 7139 N. Port Washington Rd., Glendale, Wisconsin
  • October 22, 2012, Landmark Credit Union, 6219 Washington Ave., Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin
  • October 23, 2012, Landmark Credit Union, 1931 Grove Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin
  • November 5, 2012, TruStone Financial, 2707 30th Ave., Kenosha, Wisconsin
  • November 6, 2012, Landmark Credit Union, 1931 Grove Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin (second occurrence)
  • November 13, 2012, North Shore Bank, 6906 Green Bay Road, Kenosha, Wisconsin
  • November 16, 2012, Landmark Credit located at 3600 N. 124th Ave., Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
  • November 20, 2012, Southern Lakes Credit Union 5001 60th Street, Kenosha Wisconsin

Below are the details of each robbery:

October 18, 2012, Educators Credit Union, 7139 N. Port Washington Rd., Glendale, Wisconsin

Two suspects wearing Halloween masks robbed the credit union at gunpoint and fled in a white van that was abandoned in the 7200 block of North Mohawk Road in Glendale. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in this case. Anyone with information should call Glendale Police Department at (414) 228-1753.

October 22, 2012, Landmark Credit Union, 6219 Washington Ave., Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin

Two suspects, believed to be black and in their teens or early 20s, dressed in black hoods, masks, pants and gloves. One suspect was described as being 5’ 6” to 5’9” tall with a slim build. The other man was described as 6’0” tall with a slim to medium build, wearing cotton sweatpants and black shoes with glossy white stripes. Witnesses believed the two left the scene in a vehicle of unknown make and color. Anyone with information should call Mt. Pleasant Police Department at (262) 664-7939.

October 23, 2012, Landmark Credit Union, 1931 Grove Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin

One male suspect who was masked and displayed a handgun robbed the credit union and fled on foot. Suspect was described a light-skinned black male, 6’0”-6’4” tall, 175-200 lbs., and wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, black ski mask, and black pants. November 5, 2012, TruStone Financial, 2707 30th Ave., Kenosha, Wisconsin

One male suspect armed with a silver handgun gun wearing dark clothing that included a black hooded sweatshirt with a white skeleton type pattern on the front. Anyone with information Call Kenosha Police Department at (262) 605-5203.

November 6, 2012, Landmark Credit Union, 1931 Grove Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin

The Landmark Credit Union in Racine was robbed again by three masked suspects; at least one of the suspects appeared to be armed. All described as black males in hooded sweatshirts. Anyone with information should call Racine Police Department at (262) 635-7700.

November 13, 2012, North Shore Bank, 6906 Green Bay Road, Kenosha, Wisconsin

A male suspect used a white-handled revolver during the robbery. The suspect was described as black with “crazy” black hair and wearing a black sweatshirt and black jeans. Anyone with information should call Kenosha Police Department at (262) 605-5203.

November 16, 2012, Landmark Credit located at 3600 N. 124th Ave., Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

A male suspect described as having a dark complexion, 25-40 years old, 180-200 lbs., with short, natural black hair and facial hair. He was seen wearing a white crew-neck T-shirt and dark shorts. It was also reported a second black male was seen driving the suspect from the bank. Anyone with information should call the Wauwatosa Police Department at (414) 471-8430.

November 20, 2012, Southern Lakes Credit Union 5001 60th Street, Kenosha Wisconsin

The suspect is described black male with a gun, mid- to late 20s, at least 6’0” tall, medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Suspect is described as having a deep voice, thin, light mustache, and crooked teeth with a space between his front upper teeth. Witnesses reported the suspect had a long, curly-type hairstyle that partially covered his face and appeared to possibly be a wig or extensions. The Landmark Credit Union is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbery suspects. Anyone with information on these cases is urged to call local law enforcement or the FBI Milwaukee Division at 414-276-4684.
