Two Charged With Madison Bank Robbery

MADISON, WI—Stephen P. Sinnott, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that two individuals were charged with bank robbery in a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Madison today. The complaint charges Gregory Allen, 28, Memphis, Tenn., and Jennifer DeBoef, 33, Poynette, Wis., with the bank robbery of the Anchor Bank, Raymond Road, Madison, on February 9, 2010.

Allen and DeBoef were arrested on February 10 in Poynette and made an initial appearance in federal court in Madison today. Both were detained pending an arraignment scheduled for February 19 at 1:00 p.m.

If convicted, Allen and DeBoef face a maximum penalty of 25 years in federal prison. The charge against them is the result of an investigation conducted by the Madison Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Columbia County Sheriff’s Department, Poynette Police Department, and Portage Police Department. The prosecution of this case has been assigned to Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Anderson.
