Man Arrested on Charge of Interstate Transportation of an Individual with the Intent to Engage in Prostitution or Sexual Activity

At approximately 11:00 last night, Selvin Salvador Perdomo, age 36, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested without incident and charged with interstate transportation of an individual with the intent to engage in prostitution or sexual activity in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2421.

The arrest is the result of a multi-agency effort which included members of the FBI Knoxville Division’s Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of FBI, KPD, and KCSO personnel), the FBI Atlanta Division, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Police Department, Clinton Police Department, and Blount County Sheriff’s Office.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
