Seeking Information on Robbery of Regions Bank

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Sterling Owen IV of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed a Knoxville bank today.

At approximately 9:45 a.m., a man entered the Regions Bank located at 7821 Kingston Pike in Knoxville and displayed a note threatening to have a gun. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male with blond hair, in his late 20s to early 30s, between 5’7” and 5’9” tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black hoodie, and a dirty, red baseball cap with the letter “C” on the front. He was also carrying a computer style type bag with a shoulder strap. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect left the scene on foot.

A reward is being offered for any information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KPD at 865-215-7212. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and KPD Major Crimes Unit.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
