Knoxville Police Chief Sterling Owen and the Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation announce the arrest of Robert Shultz on federal charges of receipt and possession of child pornography.  Shultz was arrested without incident this morning at his Keith Avenue residence.

Members of the Knoxville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force along with agents from the FBI initiated the investigation on April 1, 2009.  The investigation revealed thousands of images of child pornography in the possession of the suspect.

Schultz (DOB 8-23-75) will have an initial appearance in Federal Court today.
