Armed Robbery of Bank of America

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the armed robbers responsible for the June 8, 2011 armed robbery of the Bank of America, 2850 Candler Road, Decatur, Georgia.

On Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 3:11 p.m., two individuals armed with black semi auto handguns entered the Bank of America, located at 2850 Candler Rd, Decatur. During the robbery, one of the robbers put a gun to the head of a customer and demanded money from the teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the two robbers fled in a maroon 2002 GMC Envoy driven by a third subject. The vehicle had been reported stolen overnight in Atlanta and was found abandoned a short distance from the bank.

Robber #1 is described as being a black male, approximately 5’8” tall, medium build, unknown age, wearing a black ski mask, white long sleeve t-shirt, dark pants, dark shoes, and wearing latex gloves.

Robber #2 is described as being a black male, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall, medium build, unknown age, wearing a white ski mask, grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark shoes, and wearing latex gloves.

Robber #3 (driver), no description at this time.
