School Bus Driver Arrested

ATLANTA—Acting Special Agent in Charge Kenneth L. Moore, FBI Atlanta, announces the following:

On Thursday, March 25, 2010, search warrants were executed at the residence of John Spinks, age 41, of Oakwood, Georgia. Spinks, a bus driver for the Hall County School System, was taken into custody on federal charges related to the receipt, possession, and distribution of child pornography. This investigation was initiated when Spinks began “chatting” online with undercover law enforcement agents/officers detailed to an FBI Crimes Against Children initiative.

Spinks is currently being held at the Atlanta pre-trial detention facility and will have his initial appearance in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Baverman in Atlanta, at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.
