Third ATM Solutions Robber Sentenced

ST. LOUIS—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Larry Newman was sentenced to over 24 years in prison (294 months) on charges involving the August 2010 armed robbery of ATM Solutions; and the kidnapping of two juvenile females at gunpoint on November 21 and 22, 2010, as part of a plot to get more money from the ATM Solutions robbery.
Newman, 20, pled guilty in June to one felony count of armed robbery, one felony count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence involving the robbery, plus one felony count of kidnapping, and appeared today for sentencing before United States District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Tom Mehan is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
