Two Federal Inmates Sentenced

CLARKSBURG, WV—Two federal inmates were sentenced on March 1 and 2, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
ANTONIO ACEVEDO, age 31, an inmate at USP Hazelton, was sentenced to 24 months’ imprisonment to run consecutive to his current sentence. ACEVEDO entered a plea of guilty to a one-count information charging him with aiding and abetting in the assault of another inmate with a dangerous weapon on March 8, 2010. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services Unit at USP Hazelton.
MICHAEL COOK, age 36, an inmate at FCI Gilmer, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment to run consecutive to his current sentence. COOK entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Indictment charging him with possession of a prohibited object—a 9 ½” homemade knife or shank—on August 26, 2010. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services Unit at FCI Gilmer.
The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brandon S. Flower.
