Johnstown Woman Sentenced to Five Years’ Probation for Conspiring to Distribute Heroin and Crack

Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, January 7, 2010, that Jessica R. Bailey, a resident of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Johnstown to five years’ probation on her conviction of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine base, commonly known as “crack.”

United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed sentence on Bailey, age 26.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney John J. Valkovci, Jr., from January 2007, to August 7, 2007, Bailey conspired with five co-defendants to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin and five grams or more of cocaine base.

Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Laurel Highlands Resident Agency, the Cambria County Drug Task Force, and the Johnstown Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Bailey.
