Robbery of Citizens Bank Branch in Philadelphia

FBI Philadelphia April 22, 2013

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery today of the Citizens Bank branch located at 6324 Stenton Avenue in Philadelphia.

At approximately 2:13 p.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank—apparently on foot.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 6’2” tall, medium build, dark complexion, with a “salt and pepper” beard; he wore a black knit cap and a black leather jacket.

This subject is believed also to be responsible for Saturday’s attempted robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 3244 North Broad Street in North Philadelphia.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
