Philadelphia Man Charged with Traveling to Egypt to Engage in Illegal Sexual Conduct

Fardan Asmar Abdul-Almuid, a United States citizen, was charged today by Indictment with one count of traveling to Egypt for the purposes of engaging in illicit sexual conduct and one count of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in foreign places, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy.

INFORMATION REGARDING THE DEFENDANT

NAME: Fardan Asmar Abdul-Almuid
ADDRESS: Philadelphia, PA
YEAR OF BIRTH: 1981

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of thirty (30) years’ imprisonment, a $500,000 fine, lifetime supervised release, and a $200 special assessment. The case was investigated jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Immigration and Customs Enforcement and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Josh A. Davison.
