Lincoln Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Crack Cocaine

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that on April 15, 2014, Markham Deshay Jones, age 46, of Lincoln, was sentenced to 77 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine base (crack cocaine) between January 2011 and February 2012. Following the prison term, Jones will serve six years on supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.
An investigation showed that Jones was responsible for the distribution of at least 28 grams (approximately one ounce) of cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine, in the Lincoln area between January 2011 and February 2012.
The matter was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, which includes officers of the Lincoln Police Department, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department.
