North Platte Man Sentenced for Distributing Methamphetamine

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that James Fletcher McCuiston, 57, of North Platte, Nebraska, was sentenced on January 19, 2012, to 70 months in prison by United States District Judge Richard G. Kopf, for delivering 52.83 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with the CODE Task Force on May 23, 2011, in the parking lot of the Cabela’s store in Sidney, Nebraska. McCuiston was ordered to serve five years on supervised release following the completion of his prison term.

This case was investigated by the CODE Task Force, which includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); North Platte Police Department; Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office; Nebraska State Patrol; Dawson County Sheriff’s Office; Red Willow County Sheriff’s Office; and the Frontier County Sheriff’s Office.
