Robbery of First Commercial Bank Branch in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI, Oklahoma City Division announces the robbery of First Commercial Bank, 3131 S. Shields, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 11:50 this morning, a white male entered the bank, verbally demanded money, and presented a note that stated, “Robbery. No dye bombs or tracking devices.” The bank employees complied with the demand. The robber gathered an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank. He was seen leaving the bank in a white Buick sedan, possibly 1999 or 2000 model, with a Texas license plate that was covered by a piece of paper. No weapon was seen during the robbery and no one was injured.

The robber was described as a white male, 65 to 70 years of age, 5’5” tall, and approximately 120 pounds. He had a scar or dimple on his right cheek. He was wearing a white button-up collared shirt, blue jeans, and a black ball cap with white writing on it.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department.
