Attempted Robbery of Bank of America Branch in Houston

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help to identify the female bank bandit who robbed a Houston area bank but didn’t get away with any money. The robbery occurred at the Bank of America located at 9754 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, earlier in the evening on July 6, 2012. A bank surveillance photo follows this release.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., the female robber walked up to the teller counter and showed the teller a threatening note that demanded cash. Tellers did not give the woman any cash, so she turned and walked out of the bank. She was seen leaving the area in a small, older model tan or silver vehicle, possibly a Honda. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The female bank bandit is described as a black female in her mid-20s, 5’5” to 5’6” tall, 110 to 115 pounds, with a medium brown complexion. She wore a blonde wig and dark sunglasses during the robbery. She was dressed in black pants and a black T-shirt with the word “Angel” written across the front in white.
