Armed Robbery of New Mexico Bank and Trust Branch in Albuquerque

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are looking for a man who robbed New Mexico Bank and Trust, 7021 Jefferson St. NE, late Friday morning.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, approximately 5’8” tall, with a slight build.
He wore a black knitted hat, black jacket with yellow trim, black jeans, and white tennis shoes with black laces.
Witnesses say the man entered the bank at about 11:45 a.m. and approached a teller.
The suspect showed a handgun in his jacket pocket to the teller and demanded money.
The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank. He was last seen walking south on Jefferson St.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject.
