The New York Division honors Mr. Gerry Holler for his efforts to safeguard our nation’s critical infrastructure and his role in regularly organizing conferences and information sharing forums.

A former New York police officer, Mr. Holler is currently the director of security for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, an independent research and education institution, and is president of the Long Island Metropolitan Area College and University Security Consortium. The non-profit organization is composed of security directors from more than 40 institutions of higher learning, research, and health systems throughout the region. The consortium provides a forum for law enforcement and security directors to share information and discuss emerging threats and crime prevention initiatives.

As a partner to law enforcement and the emergency management community, Mr. Holler regularly organizes conferences and training events that benefit both law enforcement and the directors of security for local colleges and universities. He also routinely disseminates information to consortium members on matters of public safety, such as threats to critical infrastructure.

Mr. Holler also serves on the executive board of the Long Island InfraGard chapter, which promotes ongoing dialogue and timely communication between the FBI and the private sector.
