SAN JUAN, PR—On Friday, October 21, 2011, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Los Colobos branch of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico (BPPR) located in Carolina, Puerto Rico, was robbed by an armed individual. The robber entered the bank and approached the teller brandishing a black semi-automatic pistol.

The description of the bank robber is as follows:

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Ethnicity: Hispanic
  • Age: 25 to 30 years old
  • Height: Between 5’4” to 5’5”
  • Weight: Approximately 140 pounds
  • Build: Thin
  • Clothing: Wearing a blue baseball cap, a white short sleeved T-shirt over a long sleeved red polo shirt, light blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this individual may contact the San Juan FBI, 24 hours a day at (787) 754-6000 or the Police of Puerto Rico Bank Robbery Division at (787) 782-9006.

The Puerto Rico Bankers Association is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for committing this bank robbery.
