Penn Hills Man Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for Possessing Heroin

PITTSBURGH, PA—A resident of Penn Hills, Pa., has been sentenced in federal court to 37 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, on his conviction of violating the federal narcotics laws, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
Senior United States District Judge Maurice B. Cohill imposed the sentence on Paris Carter, 22.
According to information presented to the court, on Oct. 9, 2009, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Carter possessed with intent to distribute a quantity of heroin.
Assistant United States Attorney Gregory J. Nescott prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
