Monessen Crack Dealer Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, January 21, 2010, that Darryl Lee Arnold Jr., a resident of Monessen, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 84 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, on his conviction of violating federal drug laws.

Senior United States District Judge Maurice B. Cohill imposed the sentence on Arnold, age 24.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Michael L. Ivory, on October 16, 2007, Arnold distributed more than five grams of crack cocaine.

A federally administered Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force comprised of members drawn from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, officers from the Donora, Monessen, and Charleroi Police Departments, and the Fayette County District Attorney’s Office Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Darryl Lee Arnold Jr.
