The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced today that Senior United States District Court Judge Edwin M. Kosik has sentenced Leslie Williams, age 31, of Duryea, Pennsylvania, to one year of imprisonment for her involvement in a cocaine distribution ring centered in Pittston, Pennsylvania.

According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Williams admitted her role of receiving and distributing cocaine at a bar in Luzerne County (where she worked) during her guilty plea to the charge. In addition to the one-year term of imprisonment, Judge Kosik also ordered that Williams be placed on supervised release for a period of two years following the service of her sentence.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney John Gurganus prosecuted the case.
