Attempted Robbery of PNC Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for this afternoon’s attempted robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 1511 Walnut Street in Center City.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. The subject eventually fled the area of the bank without obtaining any money.
The subject is described as a black male, approximately 50 years of age, about 5’8” tall, medium build, with salt-and-pepper hair and beard. He wore a dark-colored winter vest, black hooded sweatshirt, and dark-colored pants.
This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture.
