Philadelphia Resident Charged with Threatening Congresswoman’s Staff

A criminal complaint was filed today charging defendant Jesse L. Keel with threatening the staff of Allyson Y. Schwartz, a member of Congress, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. According to the complaint, on or about August 25, 2010, Keel knowingly and willfully threatened to assault and to kill a member or members of the staff of Congresswoman Schwartz, with intent to impede, intimidate, interfere with, and retaliate against Congressman Schwartz’s staff, while members of her staff were engaged in their official duties and on account of the performance of their official duties. Keel was arrested today.
