Bridgeport Man Charged with Sending Threatening E-Mails, Including Threatening the President

Michael Moore was charged today in a three-count Superseding Indictment1 alleging that during the period of March 27 through April 1, 2010, he sent numerous threatening e-mails to many FBI offices throughout the world, threatening to kill people in the United States of America, and that on March 31 and April 1, 2010, he sent e-mails specifically threatening harm against the President of the United States, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.

ADDRESS: Bridgeport, Pennsylvania
AGE OR YEAR OF BIRTH: 34

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 15 years’ imprisonment, one year supervised release, and a $750,000 fine.

The case was investigated by agents from the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services, the United States Secret Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Arlene Fisk.
