Robbery of Wachovia Bank Branch in Philadelphia

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Wachovia Bank Branch located at 6918 Ridge Avenue earlier today.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., an unidentified subject entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. The subject is described as a white male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 6’1” to 6’3” tall, thin build, clean shaven, wearing a dark-colored winter parka with the hood pulled up, a grey and black knit cap, and grey and black gloves. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the bank on foot and was last seen on Ridge Avenue.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s identification and arrest, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
