Robbery of the Citizen’s Bank - Second Robbery by Same Subject

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Citizen’s Bank located inside a grocery store at 2101 Cottman Avenue earlier today. This subject is believed to be the same individual responsible for the armed robbery of the First Republic Bank branch located at 8764 Frankford Avenue this past Monday, 12/28/2009.
At approximately 12:55 p.m. today, the subject entered the Citizen’s Bank branch and presented a threatening note to a teller. The subject displayed what appeared to be a small handgun in his waistband. In Monday’s robbery of the First Republic Bank, he threatened a teller with a small handgun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.
The subject is described as a white male, 6’2” tall, stocky build, with a thin beard and mustache, wearing a baseball cap, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and a black hooded jacket.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
