Robbery of the Bank of America

FBI Philadelphia September 16, 2009

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 3745 Aramingo Avenue earlier today. The same subject is believed to be responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank branch located at 400 Market Street in Philadelphia on Monday, September 14, 2009.

At approximately 12:35 p.m., an unidentified male entered the branch, which is located inside a grocery store, and made a threatening demand to a teller. The subject is described as a white male, in his late 40’s or early 50’s, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, medium to heavy build, wearing a brown shirt with a light-colored design on the front, possibly a design of an eagle, and blue jeans. The subject walks with a pronounced limp.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot and was last seen headed north on Aramingo Avenue at Butler Street. There were no injuries.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
