Robbery of the Wachovia Bank Today

FBI Philadelphia September 02, 2009

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Wachovia Bank branch located at 2710 South Third Street in Philadelphia earlier today.

At approximately 10:49 a.m., an unidentified male entered the branch and presented a threatening demand note to a teller. The subject is described as a white male, in his 30’s, 5’11” tall, heavy build, short black hair, clean-shaven, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot westbound on Oregon Avenue. There were no injuries.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
