Robbery of Southwest Oklahoma Federal Credit Union in Lawton

Special Agent in Charge James E. Finch of the Oklahoma City Division of the FBI announces the robbery of the Southwest Oklahoma Federal Credit Union at 6714 W. Gore in Lawton, Oklahoma.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, a white male entered the credit union and approached the teller counter with a gun drawn. The subject pointed the gun at a teller and demanded money. The teller complied and the subject placed the money in a white plastic grocery type bag. The subject also took money from a second teller. The subject then departed the credit union with an undisclosed amount of money. The subject was last seen on foot, heading south.

The subject is described as a white male, 5’7” tall, slender build, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, mirrored sunglasses, with a black cloth over his face. The subject had gauze or fabric wrapped around his left hand, in which he had a black semi-automatic handgun.

No one was injured in today’s robbery. This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Lawton Police Department. Anyone with information is requested to call the Oklahoma City FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24-hour number). Callers may remain anonymous.
