OKLAHOMA CITY—Today, ANNAMAY ALEXANDER, 45, of Deltona, Florida, was sentenced by Chief United States District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange to serve 87 months in federal prison for traveling to Oklahoma City on January 9, 2010, to have sex with a 14-year-old Oklahoma boy, announced Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Alexander met the boy through an online Sony PlayStation video game when he was 13 years old. The two communicated via e-mail, text messages, instant messages, cell phone, and web camera over the course of nearly a year, culminating in Alexander traveling to Oklahoma, where she had sex with the boy upon arrival. Alexander pled guilty in August 2010, and admitted she drove from Florida to the Oklahoma City area for the purpose of engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy.

At the sentencing hearing today, Judge Miles-LaGrange ordered that Alexander serve five years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender upon her release from prison.

These charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Oklahoma City Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon Hale.
