Media/Public’s Invitation: InfraGard Conference on Cyber Security Awareness

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the general public and media are invited to the upcoming Oklahoma Members Alliance InfraGard Quarterly Conference on Cyber Security Awareness, on October 7, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A combination of local and national security experts are scheduled to provide a selection of outstanding and informative presentations. 

The conference will be hosted by the FBI and its InfraGard partners on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business, in the upstairs conference facility. The Meinders School of Business is located north of NW 23rd Street on McKinley Avenue between NW 25th and NW 27th Streets. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. the morning of the conference. 

The conference will feature several topics including Enterprise Security Strategy View 2010+, Security in a Virtualized World, Stratagems of Social Engineering, Review of a Data Breech, WiFi Insecurities, and a Review of the Common Compliance Strategies Related to Emerging Data Privacy Laws in Critical Infrastructure Sectors. 

InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members in the state of Oklahoma. InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector, which includes an association of business, academia, state and local law enforcement, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI field offices throughout the United States. 

Presentations will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. with a break for lunch. It is not necessary to pre-register for the conference and admission is free.
