Kristen Parker Appears in Federal Court

DENVER—This morning Kristen Parker, a former “scrub tech” at two Colorado hospitals, notified U.S. District Court Judge Robert E. Blackburn that she wants to move forward with her plea agreement as earlier tendered to the court, with one exception. That exception is that the court will be allowed to determine her prison sentence without limitation. The judge also indicated he will consider victim statements at the time of sentencing. Parker will be sentenced by Judge Blackburn on February 24, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. Parker had previously pled guilty to charges of tampering with a consumer product and obtaining controlled substances by deceit.
