Cocaine Dealer Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison
Sold Powder and Crack Cocaine in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties

GREENBELT, MD—U.S. District Judge Alexander Williams, Jr., sentenced Wildy Cherubin, a/k/a “Gordito,” of Gaithersburg, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by four years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute powder and crack cocaine.

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Richard A. McFeely of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and Interim Chief Mark Magaw of the Prince George’s County Police Department.

According to Cherubin’s guilty plea, from April 16 through August 25, 2010, Cherubin received powder and crack cocaine from his sources of supply and on several occasions Cherubin converted the powder cocaine into crack cocaine. Cherubin and his co-conspirators distributed the powder and crack cocaine in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties. Law enforcement monitored and videotaped many of the transactions. On August 17, 2010, search warrants were executed at two residences used by Cherubin, one which was located in Silver Spring, Maryland and one located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Officers recovered approximately a pound of marijuana and a digital scale from the Silver Spring residence, and 15 grams of powder cocaine, pyrex bowls with cocaine residue and $2,750 from the Gaithersburg residence, where Cherubin was also located. Cherubin admits that over the course of the conspiracy he was responsible for the distribution of between 500 grams and five kilograms of powder cocaine and between 28 and 280 grams of crack cocaine.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the FBI and Prince George’s County Police Department for their work in the investigation. Mr. Rosenstein thanked Assistant United States Attorneys Mara Zusman Greenberg and James C. Crowell IV, who prosecuted this Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force case.
