Man with ‘LA’ Cap Robs New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union in Albuquerque

A man wearing a baseball cap with the letters “LA” on it robbed New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union at 6501 Indian School Road NE in Albuquerque on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair, approximately 5’10” tall, about 45 years old, with a medium build and a tattoo on his right forearm.
He wore a black and white baseball cap with the initials “LA” on it, a white T-shirt, dark pants, and dark shoes.
Witnesses said the man walked into the credit union at approximately 1:30 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.
The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense, and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
