Robbery of First Convenience Bank Branch in Las Cruces

The FBI and Las Cruces Police Department are investigating a robbery that occurred January 24, 2013, at First Convenience Bank inside Pro’s Ranch Market at 320 E. Wyatt Dr. in Las Cruces.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic woman, approximately 70-75 years old, about 5’0” tall, and heavyset.

She wore around her head gold-colored bathrobe-type material that partially covered her face. Her hair was dark.

She had small reading glasses and wore a gray-bluish jacket, red T-shirt, dark pants, white socks, and light blue shoes.

The suspect wore a gold ring on her left hand.

Witnesses say the woman walked into the bank at approximately 9:40 a.m. and handed a demand note to a teller.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money that she put in a tall bag and then left the bank.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
