Update on Flight Diverted to Albuquerque

The FBI is investigating a report of a potential security threat aboard a Delta Airlines flight that was diverted to Albuquerque Sunport International Airport on Sunday morning.

Flight 1706 had left Detroit and was headed to San Diego when it was diverted shortly before 10 a.m. Albuquerque time.

Crew and passengers were interviewed and a search of the plane was conducted.

Nobody was injured, and no suspicious devices were found.

The FBI has now released the aircraft to continue its flight.

No one is being detained.

Information about the flight's departure will come from the airport.

No more information will be released by the FBI at this time.
