The San Francisco Division honors Ms. Lynette Parker, an associate clinical professor at the Katharine and George Alexander Community Law Center, Santa Clara University Law School, for her efforts to bring an end to human trafficking.

Ms. Parker is a member of the South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking and works in close collaboration with agents from FBI San Francisco who investigate civil rights and human trafficking crimes. A vital resource for agents—day, night, or weekendMs. Parker never hesitates to take the lead in addressing victims’ immediate and long terms needs, such as housing, employment, or immigration issues. Ms. Parker’s ability to resolve these issues quickly allows agents to focus on the investigation itself.

Ms. Parker has traveled worldwide, providing legal representation for numerous victims of crime and has pursuing asylum applications and victim visa applications. Viewed as a hero by many survivors, she stays in contact with victims until they are able to escape their situation, and she ensures that they are free from danger and have a place to sleep. She frequently brings victims to the attention of FBI agents and arranges interviews with appropriate law enforcement once a victim has escaped captivity. The success of two of San Francisco’s most significant human trafficking investigations was due in large part to Ms. Parker’s participation.
