The Indianapolis Division honors Ms. Lisette Guillen for assisting law enforcement to solve cold cases and bring justice to deserving families, and for her efforts to educate and empower the Latino community about public safety, crime prevention, and violence reduction.

Ms. Guillen is the owner of the northwest Indiana marketing and advertising firm Latin Media. Her firm produces “Crime Stoppers Case File-Chicago,” and Ms. Guillen acts as both executive producer and host. She is also the founder and host of “Que Pasa Indiana,” a bilingual radio show dedicated to sharing vital information with the Spanish-speaking population of northwest Indiana.

Ms. Guillen also organizes an annual safety awareness fair in the underserved city of East Chicago and has helped the Indiana Department of Health and the Indiana Minority Coalition organize cultural competency programs for health facilitators across Indiana.

A graduate of the northwest Indiana FBI Citizens Academy program, Ms. Guillen serves on the FBI’s Multi-Cultural Advisory Council and has received awards from the League of United Latin American Citizens, The Hammond Hispanic Community Committee, the Lupus Foundation of Indiana, Indiana’s Martin Luther King Commission, and many other organizations.
