2012 Director’s Community Leadership Awards

Boston Chris Sinclair

Anchorage field office Director’s Community Leadership Award 2011

The Boston Division is pleased to honor youth advocate Chris Sinclair as a recipient of the 2012 Director’s Community Leadership Award.

Mr. Sinclair is president of The Anthem Group, a multi-faceted marketing and consulting firm, catering company, and event production agency headquartered in Boston. Since founding the business as a college undergraduate, Mr. Sinclair has developed the company into an internationally recognized entity.

Although a successful entrepreneur, he dedicates most of his time assisting those who are less fortunate. Through his company, Mr. Sinclair created a fundraising auction event called Children Around the World—the proceeds of which benefited Boston Police Department youth programs and CHOSA (Children of South Africa), an organization dedicated to assisting HIV/AIDS patients and the orphans left behind. Mr. Sinclair has also worked with the Dorchester Academy—one of Boston’s most underprivileged public schools—and the Latino STEM Alliance to provide college-bound students with new computers.

Mr. Sinclair, a Boston FBI Citizens Academy graduate, plans to assist the Bureau with future outreach events, including an anti-bullying campaign, a charity art show, and a Fourth of July celebration.

In a ceremony at FBI Headquarters, Director Robert S. Mueller, III recognized the recipients of the 2012 Director’s Community Leadership Award. These leaders, selected by their area FBI field office, have demonstrated outstanding contributions to their local communities through service. The FBI is grateful for the work of each of these individuals and organizations on behalf of their communities.

“Whatever the motivation—an unfilled need, a tragic occurrence, a desire to give back—these are people who make things happen and enlist others in their cause,” said Director Mueller. “They are activists who have earned their prestige through good works.”
