FBI Seeks Information on the Forever Loyal Bandit

The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Fairfax County Police are searching for an unknown serial bank robber dubbed the “Forever Loyal Bandit,” who is believed to be responsible for three bank robberies and an attempted bank robbery in the Falls Church section of Fairfax County, Virginia. The incidents occurred between June and August 2014 at various banks along the Leesburg Pike corridor.

The individual is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, who has on two occasions worn a white T-shirt with a distinctive logo and the words “Forever Loyal” emblazoned on the chest. In addition, he wears a dark baseball hat pulled low over his face during the robberies. The word “VIBES” is printed on the hat in one robbery, and it appears the lettering has been darkened in a subsequent incident to obscure his identity.

The series of robberies started on Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Capital One Bank located at 5851 Crossroads Center in Falls Church. The next robbery occurred on Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Capital One Bank located at 6367 Seven Corners Center in Falls Church. The final robbery took place on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the SunTrust Bank located at 5821 Crossroads Center in Falls Church. Additionally, the individual attempted to rob the BB&T Bank on Friday, August 15, 2014, located at 5871 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church. During that time period, there were numerous suspicious person calls made to police at area banks involving the same subject.

Mason District Bank Robberies: June - August 2014. There have been two bank robberies at Capital One Banks and one robbery at SunTrust Bank inside a Safeway store in Mason’s area involving the same suspect. During each, a black male produces a handwritten note implying a weapon and demanding cash. In multiple cases, the suspect was wearing a white FOREVER LOYAL T-shirt and placed the money in a blue bag with black drawstrings The cases have occurred on a Monday and Friday close to closing time and Saturday afternoon. The suspect fled immediately on foot.The suspect is a black male in his 30s to 40s, 6’0”-6’3” tall, 200 pounds, with a  mustache/goatee; he has worn a “Forever Loyal” white T-shirt, dark pants, and dark-colored hat. UPDATED INFO - AUGUST 15, 2014: Most recent case was an attempted robbery at BB&T bank. This case is the only one that occurred in the morning hours. There was a suspicious event involving the same suspect at this BB&T on July, 21, 2014.

 

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of this individual.
