FBI Seeks Information on Serial Armed Robbers Who Strike 7-Eleven Stores

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward in coordination with partner law enforcement agencies to identify and locate at least two armed individuals who are suspected of robbing 7-Eleven convenience stores in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

“We are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate these individuals,” said David J. LeValley, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Washington Field Office’s Criminal Division. “They have robbed at least six establishments in the District, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. We are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to their identification and arrest.”

The date, time, and location of the robberies are listed below. Each robbery took place at a 7-Eleven convenience store.

The individuals were described as black males wearing dark colored clothing during the majority of the robberies. One of them was described as having long dreadlocks. Another was described as wearing black shoes with red coloring on the top.

The individuals displayed weapons during each robbery. On August 31, 2015, one of the individuals used a long gun during the robberies. During these two robberies four men entered the store. They were seen fleeing the scene of the robberies in an unknown sedan.

Law enforcement is launching a campaign to identify these individuals and is using digital and social media to seek the public’s assistance. In addition to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube postings, digital advertisements in city bus shelters will be utilized in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information on these individuals’ identities or the robberies should contact the FBI’s Washington Field Office at 202-278-2000.

The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force from both the Washington and Baltimore Field Offices along with the Fairfax County Police Department, Prince George’s County Police Department, and the Metropolitan Police Departments are investigating the robberies.
