Robbery of Capital One Bank Branch in Washington, D.C.

At approximately 10:52 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, an unknown subject entered the Capital One bank located at 336 Pennsylvania Avenue SE in Washington, DC. The subject passed a bank teller a note demanding money and implied that he had a weapon; however, he did not display one. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and exited the bank.

The subject is described as a black male with a dark complexion and beard, 5’7” to 5’8” tall with a medium build. He wore a glasses, a black and gray snow hat with a pattern, and a black puffy coat.

The subject pictured should be considered dangerous.

The FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating this bank robbery with the Metropolitan Police Department and requests that anyone with information call the FBI at 202- 278-2000 or MPD at 202-727-9099. Anonymous information may be submitted to tips.fbi.gov or to (MPD) by texting 50411.
