NINOOS “NICK” ATOORI
July 9, 2005
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the parties responsible for the death of Ninoos "Nick" Atoori.
Law enforcement officials with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Turlock Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify persons of interest in the July 9, 2005, murder of Ninoos “Nick” Atoori in Turlock, California.
Atoori was shot at approximately 12:30 a.m., in the parking lot of a shuttered restaurant business located at 2905 North Golden State Boulevard in Turlock, California. Atoori, age 40, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
Three males are persons of interest in the matter and may have information related to the case:
Two men, both with short, dark hair and possibly of Middle Eastern descent, were seen at the location at the time of the homicide and departed from the parking lot in a white commercial van. These two men closely match the description of two men involved in a separate verbal altercation with Atoori at a restaurant located at 906 J Street in Modesto, California, in the weeks preceding the homicide. This previous altercation resulted in shots being fired outside of the restaurant.
Immediately after the van’s departure on the evening of Atoori’s death, a third man was seen leaning over the victim prior to getting on a black and orange Honda motorcycle and departing the scene. This third man was described as 25 to 30 years old at the time. He stood approximately six feet tall and had short, dark hair. He wore a leather jacket, but did not wear a helmet.
