The FBI and the ATF are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this arson and vandalism.


The FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the Escondido Police Department in California are asking for the public's assistance in identifying those responsible for the arson and vandalism of the Dar-ul-Arqam Mosque, also known as the Islamic Center of Escondido, on March 24, 2019.


At approximately 3:15 a.m., an unknown subject or subjects intentionally set fire to the place of worship (located at 318 West 6th Avenue in Escondido, California) while several individuals were inside. No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire. The exterior of the building sustained damage and the property was defaced.
